CraftyHazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge for July.

This month my creation is a little notepad:

This little pad is covered with patterned paper and decorated with a digi stamp from Birdie Brown. I colored the pears with Copics and added a ribbon with bow to the pad.

These sweet pears are lovely, aren't they?

As usual, have a look at all the lovely creations from the DT: you can find them all here!

I Love Retro Images

Last night, I abandoned the tv movie I was watching and reached for my craft room: I had to finish a card I had planned before dinner, I couldn't wait to see it done!

Here's the card:

You know, I'm a fan of Birdie Brown's images and she shares a free digi every month! In July, it's this lovely retro tv with sentiment.

I used a cream card distressed with brown ink, two October Afternoon papers with a retro feel and stamped a few musical notes here and there.

I love how it's turned out! Exactly what I had in mind! A tv in a 50's living room with a vintage wallpaper, like the ones we could have seen in our granny's house!

Of course, I will enter Birdie Brown July challenge!

Getting Fit

It's finally warm enough to wear short-sleeve T-shirts, capris and flip flops and, like every year, it's time to try bikinis on...

And, like every year, it's time to follow a diet hoping that those bikinis will be on a slimmer and more tonic girl.

Hopelessly.

Not that I'm fat but I'm surely not tonic.

I don't use my weighing scale often but every now and then I have to check and... well... my face looks like this:

When I saw this digi stamp from Birdie Brown called "Step On It" I knew I had to have it! I love her face, the way she steps on the scale and that tiny sweat drop on her cheek...

In between hearthquakes, dance lessons, DT work and custom orders I managed to squeeze this little Journal: pretty enough for a girly girl who wants to keep track of her schedules, plans and achievements!

Pure Cuteness

Happy Monday!

First of all, I'd like to thank all the visitors fromTSG Mother of All Blog Hops: you left such sweet comments, I didn't expect such a response to my card.
And welcome to the new followers!

These days last year I was making favour tags for a wedding: she was a Customer from my Etsy shop and she asked me to prepare tags to be added to her wedding favours. I also made a matching Tableau de Mariage and really had so much fun!

Yesterday, I finished the tags she asked me for the birth of her little girl!
It's incredible to be part of a wedding, somewhere far away from your town, thinking about people touching and taking home something I've made.
But it's even more incredible to be part of a birth!

She saw a daisy in my shop and we made tags to be added to favors. I started with this:

Aren't they cute! I had two trays like this one full of freshly glittered daisies and I couldn't help taking a picture of them!
Then, I ended up with this:

The daisy digi stamp is from Birdie Brown. Tags were made with colors matching chevron bags my Customer had bought and will be attached to the bags by means of wooden pegs.
If she send me a picture of the finished favors, I'll post it here for sure!

Little Maia was born last Friday, so my best wishes to this blessed family!

And: Benvenuta Maia!

Spring Is In The Air!

I can't believe spring will be here in a couple of weeks!
Last week we had some warm, bright sunny days: heavy down coats back in the wardrobe, snow boots away, light coats out together with silk scarves and sunglasses!
But... no, not again... we had a few dark rainy days... what a sadness!
So I thought about bringing some spring in my craftroom creating these pretty clothespins:

Since I discovered these clothespins in a shop, I've made a series for every season and these pretty flowers from Birdie Brown were just perfect for the spring version!
With glitter here and there and a light green organza ribbon they instantly brought some cheer on my craft room table!

By the way, I'm a very happy winner of There She Goes Challenge # 145!!! I couldn't believe my eyes when I read my name! And this helped me in a dark rainy day dedicated to cleaning the house...
This week the Challenge is about TAGS and I'm already creating some to enter it!
Meanwhile, I've just spent my $5 coupon on a new set of Torico's stamp!

Buried under Snow...

These last 10 days have one thing in common: SNOW!
In our region it doesn't snow too much, I remember years without snow for the whole winter. These past few years were quite snowy and this is probably the snowiest of all!
It all started on Tuesday Jan. 31: it began slowly but, after weeks of warm weather, we were quite happy to see snow. It ended after 48 hours: cars buried under tons of snow, school closed for several days, everything was a real chaos!
It stopped for a while but than again, the whole weekend was spent looking out of the windows: it seems that the last heavy snowfall here was back in 1985 and I don't remember it.
Well, this morning I opened my email and read that it was suggested to collect kids from school at 11.30 because from 12.00 a snowstorm will start for another 36 hours... no, not again!

My sister had a baby last week: she lives in Milan but the conditions of roads and trains is so poor that I haven't managed to meet my nephew yet and it seems that this weekend it'll be impossible to go there...

Luckily enough, the last two days were sunny so the postman delivered some of my orders, amongst which four sets of new stamps from Torico I ordered from There She Goes stamps! I was looking forward to seeing them and now I think I'll work with them during the weekend!

Talking about Torico, as a daily reader of her blog, I discovered that she is sponsoring a challenge and I created this:
I love these pears and they were perfect for this little magnetic notepad, useful in the kitchen, near the telephone or wherever you need to jot down notes.
I've put in on a new metal shelf I bought from Ikea for my craft table and it looks so pretty!
Maybe I'll keep it for me...

The image is a freebie from Birdie Brown on Etsy and I'm entering the following Challenges:

Well... I think that right now I could say that Snow is all around rather then love but in a few days it'll be Valentine day so let's celebrate!

Today I'm for Pink!

This morning when I switched on my computer and spent some coffee time looking at Etsy listings I noticed that I was attracted by PINK.
Pink is probably my favorite color and I decided to make a Treasury list there dedicated to pink items.

This afternoon, I've managed to finish a card with a digi I colored a while ago which I did not manage to assemble into something nice for a while and the card turned out... PINK!

This digi is "Lovely Couple" from Birdie Brown on Etsy and I bought it last year as soon as I saw it in the shop.
It took a while to transform it into a card but now I'm so happy with the result! I painted the newly wed with Copics and added a touch of glitter in the roses and in the groom's hankie, then I used a DCWV background paper on a white card, a paper doily, a sheer organza ribbon and bow and a delicate pink rose. I even added a button on the groom!
They look so happy!

Have a nice Saturday night!

OOhh... How Cute!

A couple of days ago I found a lovely freebie in one of my favourite blogs Birdie Brown and I immediately realized I could make some tiny cards with them:
Aren't they sweet?
In 2011 I bought some stamps from her shop on Etsy which I used for party decorations but I did not send a picture to her to show them.

I've had these pretty mini cards and envelopes in various colors for a while but they are so tiny I couldn't find something suitable for them. When I printed the pears I headed for them all and chose this bright green: a bit out of the usual Valentine color scheme but perfect for my pears!

In addition, I've had ideas for cards and other sweet little creations with Birdie Brown stamps, so stay tuned!
