C.R.A.F.T. Challenge # 315 - Christmas.

Welcome to our monthly Christmas challenge here at C.R.A.F.T.!

This week my card is Christmas-themed of course but colors are inspired by the sea:

This super-cute Santa is Yep, I Have My Methods from The Paper Shelter.
I used classic Christmas colors for the image but I chose a paper from Toga in a turquoise blue which reminds me of a Caribbean Island.

Have a look here to read all about this challenge, to see our sponsors and to be inspired by our DT cards!

Crocodiles for Valentine's Day.

You won't believe but I'm still making Christmas cards... or maybe I'm already making Christmas card.
Or better: I've never stopped making Christmas cards!
Only yesterday I made two cards and some tags...

But I'm also making some Valentine cards, both for DT assignements and for pure pleasure.

Today I want to show you one that I made "just to have fun":

I LOVE this digi stamp called Crocodile Love from The Paper Shelter!
I colored them with my Copics and assembled a light blue card with touches of red, just to remember it's a love-themed card. I added a broad light blue organza ribbon with little hearts on the edges and another ribbon with hearts and Valentine's words.
These crocodiles are so cute!

The Paper Shelter DT Call

The second card I've made this week is for a DT Call:

I bought this digi stamp from The Paper Shelter around Christmas but it was too late to make Christmas cards. I fell in love with its sweetness and poetry. I used only a part of the digi here, it actually has two gnomes and a little mouse watching them.
As soon as I read that they were looking for new DT members I thought about making a card with this digi. Ehm... well, to tell you the truth, the very first thing I thought was that I could never become a DT for them but then I decided I had to try.
The main thing they want to see in applicants' cards is colouring and, fingers crossed, I did my best with my new Copics. As you know, I'm quite new to Copics and I'm still practising.
I glittered each and every light, the gnome's belt and the pom-pom on his hat... Oohh! How I love glitter!
I wanted to keep the colors simple and I chose this red and white color scheme: a red card, white and red papers, red dots made with paint.
Christmas is over and I should be making Valentine cards but I couldn't wait to color this gnome and I have in mind to make at least one Christmas card per week... well, maybe every two weeks....

This card will be entered in The Paper Shelter Design Team Call

and

in the ABC Christmas Challenge: A for Anything Goes

Fingers crossed for the DT Call, for the Challenge and... for I manage to make one Christmas card/week in 2012!

PS: this card won't be for sale in my Etsy shop until later this year. Should you be interested in it, please let me know and I'll list it.

I can't help smiling...

Look at these LOVELY crocodiles:
I can't help smiling when I look at them!

I found them weeks ago from The Paper Shelter shop and immediately colored them without finding the right moment turn them into a card.

A few days ago I read that The Paper Shelter was starting challenges and I absolutely wanted to enter their first challenge with this digi. I thought I could never manage to make a card in so short a time but this morning I magically made it!
The challenge asks for Buttons and Bows so I added buttons and bows! It's not difficult for me to add them... it's more difficult to part with my precious buttons and I had to part with four of them today!!!

Luckily enough, there is another challenge I can enter with this card: Paper Sundaes. They want a card with masculine colors and I think these dark and light greens are something masculine.

Well, better go, lots of things to do!

Birds in Love!

Hello!
I can't believe it's almost one week since my last post. It's incredible how a few things added to my daily routine leave so little time to my crafting - and blogging - time.

Anyway, I did not write BUT I managed to make some cards. I'm still into the Valentine/Love theme. It started snowing this morning so maybe I'll make some winter cards this afternoon.

Yesterday, I made this card with colors a bit different from the expected color scheme for Valentines. Looking through my list of challenges, I've found that it is perfect for two of them.

Here's my card:
I love these fat birds in love! This digi is from The Paper Shelter (http://www.thepapershelter.com/), a shop I've just discovered with very sweet images.
I painted them with my watercolor pencils and decided to mount them on a turquoise card instead of a pink one. I used some glitter here and there and couldn't help myself from putting a red touch on the card!

I finished it following the requirements of the two challenges:

Papertake Weekly Challenge:
which has The Paper Shelter as sponsor (how lucky I am!) and which asks for ribbon and pearls. I've used a white satin ribbon I've found in my stash of ribbons and some green and blue pearls.

which asks for a sentiment with a Love theme. This requirement was not difficult to follow since it was a Valentine card!

Well, I've a couple of hours to spend on some new projects, I feel so lucky when I can dedicate so much time to crafting and painting!
