Christmas Card Challenge # 8 - Color Challenge.

Welcome to a new Christmas Card Challenge!

We have a color challenge for your today:

In detail:

These colours are wonderful, aren't they?
I absolutely LOVE them, they're maybe my favourite colors together!

I had a great time making this card:

I chose Candy Man from Di's Digistamp and used a background paper from Doodlebug I bought just before Christmas. I glittered the mice's hats and the holly berries and added lots of sequins to give my card some sparkle.

Don't forget to have a look at what my teamies did this week: you can find their cards here together with last week's winner and Top 3.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

DigiDesigns Challenge: Include Snow or Snowflakes

In a couple of months Christmas will already be over so it's time to start making those necessary Christmas Cards or projects, just in case you haven't started yet!

Today I have something different to show you:

I haven't made a card but I've made a cute shopping list notepad with a sweet girl .
She is Shopping Spree from Di's Digistamps: I love her coat and, of course, her little dog!

The Challenge is already live, I'm a bit late this morning since Summer Time ended last night and I enjoyed an additional hour in bed!
I checked my teamies projects and they are all wonderful and inspiring.

Today, Pink & Green for Christmas

A quick post today to show you another card.
I'm making my last cards for this season but I'm pretty inspired so once I finish a card, I have another idea in my head.

Today, I've this card to show:

I've used Shopping Spree from Di's Digi Downloads, an image I really love!
Colored with Copics and glitter, decorated with tiny buttons and mounted on a "vintage" green card with a patterned paper by Dovecraft. A hot pink satin ribbon and a bell charm make it sooo pretty!!!

This card is for the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday Challenge # 247: So Charming! (Use a Charm)
Crafts and Me Challenge # 114: Why so Blue? = No Blues

Cards for Boys - Part 1

I'm still pretty busy with commissions and I've just finished a couple of cards for a sweet lady who wanted cards for boy.
It's quite strange but cards for boy are rarely in my cards-to-do list, I always think about girly card, even when I make Christmas or Halloween cards.

This is one of the tow boy cards:
This image is Pilot Ted from Di's Digi Downloads and I think it's perfect for a sweet little boy!
I've treated myself with several Di's Digis in this period because I've had several commissions for Christening cards and her images are lovely!
I've used a very very old paper: I bought it so many years ago... I think it's from an Italian company but I'm not sure.
I slightly modified the digi stamp and put flags in the bear's hands instead of the bunch of flowers it came with.

I had some time this morning to check if there was a challenge to enter my card and luckily enough I can enter two:

Di's Digi Designs Challenge: Animals acting like People

and

See you later for my second boy card!

Oops... I Forgot!

I forgot to add another card for Paper Playtime Digi Monday Challenge!

My daughter made a card which I sent to our DT coordinator, just in case she had a spot and... she has chosen her as Special Guest Designer!

This is her card:
When I saw this digi in Di's Digi Shop I knew she would have loved it: she loves horses and she rides with no fear.
She colored the digi and chose papers among those I was using for my DT card. My only advice was to suggest how to use the papers I had cut for her and arrange the flowers. Since I was a little behind her with my card, she didn't let me use the same papers so I had to go with a lighter color scheme... I let her look for something in my embellishments drawer (which she loves!), and she chose three rhinestones and some flowers. I also gave her the sentiment and the punched circle.

I love these summer days spent together in our craft room chatting and making things!

Sun is Shining and...

... I've just finished a Christmas card!

I've had this card on my desk for a while. I started it for a challenge but then I thought it was not right and I put it aside.

Then I started to assemble it again but I needed something to finish it: I wanted some flowers and I was waiting for an order I made in the UK to arrive. So the card was put on hold for a second time.

Finally, yesterday my paper roses arrived but no, they were not right (except for the little green rose I put on the sentiment) and I decided to opt for a ribbon.

I wanted a fresh, girly look for a Christmas card, nothing traditional.

Here's my card:
This lovely little girl doing her Christmas shopping is a digi from Di's Digis colored with watercolor pencils and LOTS of glitter where she has fur on her coat and hat.

The card follows a recipe given by The ABC Christmas Challenge: E for Embossing and 3 Embellishments.
I've used a hot pink card (it's a wonderful hot pink, I probably found it as a gift on a magazine and it was the last one...) which I've embossed with snowflakes on the right side. I've added a patterned paper from Papermania and three embellisments: a ribbon bow, a metal bell and a paper flower.

I'm so happy it's now finished even if Christmas is so far away...
