Bugaboo 6th Birthday Bash - Day 6.

Hello!

Here I am with a new card for Bugaboo 6th Birthday Bash!

 

Day 6 is inspired by a photo:

 

 

Inspired by both the cake and the animals, I made this:

 

My stamps are: Make it Snappy - Happy Birthday and Sock Monkey Boy both available in Bugaboo shop. I used my Copics and some glitter on the pink part of the cake.

The flower paper is from Lawn Fawn while the orange one comes from my paper stash (it should be from Echo Park).

 

Well, I wait for the 7th challenge to come live to make my last card!

I LOVE this little monkey! She's available at Bugaboo together with a series of similar monkeys.

I used papers from an Italian brand, Moda Scrap.

 

Well, only a few days left and I still have to make four cards... Fingers crossed I manage to finish them all!

A DT Call and my Top 5 for 2013

What a great year for Christmas cards!

I started making cards for this Christmas back in January, entering a few challenges.

Then, I had the chance to be chosen in Christmas Card Challenges DT and made Christmas cards weekly. I often managed to make more than one copy and found myself in September with a good number of cards for my Etsy shop.

I also had to make copies of existing cards for my Customers and all this has made me very happy.

Now that Christmas is just around the corner I'd like to sit down and make a list of my favorite cards for 2013.

I also take this chance to enter a new DT call for C.R.A.F.T. Challenge where I've been gently invited by Trimgym.

So, here's my fav cards for 2013 (in no particular order):

What a Fun!

This time I've had a great fun creating my card for Christmas Card Challenges!

The theme is Non-Traditional Christmas images and here's my creation:

I've used a stamp from There She Goes and I must admit that the idea to hang the two moneys together came from a card I saw a while ago somewhere (I'm sorry but I didn't remember where or who!). I decided to hang them to a holly branch, a part of a set of an old set of stamps.

The papers is from an old pad from Papermania. I simply added some red details and, of course, a little bow on one of the monkey's tails!

I think I'll make a few more...

This challenge sounds really funny! Have a look at all the other creations from the DT and be inspired to think of something less traditional!

Am I too Late?

It's been tough but my new card is ready!

When I read the theme for the Incy Wincy Challenge this week I decided not to enter for I thought I had no digi with a monkey on it. Then, looking through my files, I found a super-cute monkey and started thinking about entering the challenge.

When I made the Top Three I decided I had to enter and started printing and coloring my monkey.

This morning I woke up late, very late (I never sleep until late in the morning, I love to wake up early when everybody is still sleeping) and after my coffee I switched the computer on and had a look at the various Challenges I had planned to enter this week and... Gosh! I had just 4 hours to make my monkey card. It was colored but I still had no idea of the way I could assemble it.

It's been quite easy, the biggest problem was to find a funny sentiment and - being not English - it's been even more difficult.

But I'm done and here's my card:

This funny monkey was a freebie from Dustin Pike and in the original digi it was collecting leaves but I thought it was perfect to fill the basket with hearts.

I used watercolor pencils as usual and a card and patterned papers from DCWV. I found the brad (Making Memories) while digging in my stash: I bought a set of them years ago: it makes me feel good to be able to use somemthing so old because my temptation is always to save something I like for any future need...

Well, better hurry up and enter the card to the Challenges (yes, I've discovered that the theme can be suitable for some other challenges!).
