Christmas Card Challenge # 53 - Anything Goes.

Ooops... so sorry... I forgot to post my weekly project for Christmas Card Challenges earlier this morning! 

 

This week it's Anything Goes and I've made this:

 

 

I've had this stamp for a while and I've decided to use it for a plaque instead of a card.

It's from Stampavie designed by Tina Wenke, an artist I love. I've colored it with my Copics and I've had a great fun to add tiny rhinestones here and there.

What a great year for Christmas cards!

I started making cards for this Christmas back in January, entering a few challenges.

Then, I had the chance to be chosen in Christmas Card Challenges DT and made Christmas cards weekly. I often managed to make more than one copy and found myself in September with a good number of cards for my Etsy shop.

I also had to make copies of existing cards for my Customers and all this has made me very happy.

Now that Christmas is just around the corner I'd like to sit down and make a list of my favorite cards for 2013.

I also take this chance to enter a new DT call for C.R.A.F.T. Challenge where I've been gently invited by Trimgym.

So, here's my fav cards for 2013 (in no particular order):

Challenge # 31 at Christmas Card Challenges

What a fun challenge this week at Christmas Card Challenges: PAPER PIECING!

It's an easy technique that I often forget to use, so I was happy to make a card using one of my pretty patterned papers!

This sweet girl is from Stampavie and I chose her for her dress and night cap were big enough to be cut from patterned paper.

I found two pieces of a pink paper with holly on it (I think it was from Papermania) and a small yellow piece which I used for the moon. Although coloring is my favorite part of a project, it was lovely to add only a few colors here and there!

I then chose a lilac card and added glittered and patterned papers found in UK magazines over the years.

Christmas 2013 - Cards # 6 (and 7)

A while ago I was invited by Hazel to join Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra with the card I submitted to another challenge.

Delighted for the invitation, I decided to make a new Christmas card and, inspired by this week theme at the ABC Christmas Challenge, I made this card:

A few days before Christmas I discovered this stamp by Tina Wenke available from Stampavie and I struggled to find a seller who could send it to Italy without spending a fortune. It took a while to arrive but I love it and this was the perfect occasion to use it!

You know my love for carolers and these little critters make no exception!
I mounted them on a white card using cardstocks I found in a magazine and a lovely ribbon.

Oh... they are so cute!

Vintage Christmas

This should be my last Christmas card for this year.

Apart from my DT work, I've decided to stop making Christmas cards, put away some stamps I didn't manage to use and take some time for family, house cleaning and daily chores before Christmas.

When I saw this Stampavie stamp I decided it would have been a perfect addition to my collection. And when I inked it, I decided to keep its Victorian atmosphere using soft traditional colors.

Anyway, this is my card:

I've found a very old ivory paper with snowflakes (I'm sorry I don't even remember where I bought it) and added a few touches: a grey cardstock panel and stripe behind the image, a glittered snowflake and a touch of glitter on the snow.

I love its atmosphere which reminds me of Christmas past, Dicken's novels and London in the late 1800s.
