Around the World.

Good morning!

Today I'd like to show you one of my lastest creations with one of my favourite themes: travels!

This is the card:

I again reached for my Broken Box Stock file and found this lovely globe. I colored it with Copics, added papers from October Afternoon (Travel Girl) and a pretty clip to hold notes and sentiment.

I always dream of travelling somewhere when I make these cards!

The Wedding Season is Fast Approaching.

Thinking about upcoming events, I realized that May is not too far and that it was a good thing to start making some new wedding cards.

The first is this one:

In my files she's called "the thin bride" because she's so thin and elegant but her "true" name is actually a bridesmaid: Bridesmaid Toodle from Broken Box.
I used to be in their DT and I enjoyed every minute of it. I still look through their image when I need to make a new card.
Their toodles are absolutely adorable and their brides are no exception!

I colored her with Copics and used two papers from DCWV as background. I then needed to add two tiny pearls as earrings!

This card is for the following challenges:
Allsorts Challenge # 353: International Women's Day

This card is for sale in my Etsy shop. If you cannot find it or if you'd like it in other colors, please contact me and I'll be pleased to create something just for you!

Butterflies and Birthday.

I've been noticing that I often add butterflies to my cards.

Whether it's a children card or a more grown-up one, butterflies always help me adding little details and bring in lots of cheer.

I've found a digi stamp in my archive which has a girl and butterflies all in one image!
I couldn't keep myself from making a new card!

She's Butterfly Toodle from Broken Box Stock, colored with Copics and mounted on a background paper from Bella Blvd.
I couldn't add any additional butterfly around my toodle but I had plenty of space near the bow to add two die cuts I found in my stash!

A girly spring-y birthday!

Very Girly!

One of my favourite images comes from Broken Box Stock. It was such a pleasure for me to create with their toodles when I was in their DT and sometimes I have a look in my folder to find one of them to work with.

As I said, this is one of my fav:

Their toodles always make me smile and this Bubble Bath Toodle is no excpetion!

I wanted to create a gift for a friend of mine and this plaque is perfect to add outside her renovated bathroom (but I made one for the shop too in case you are interested).
Like me, she loves pink and flowers so it was really funny to make it!
Unfortunately, I only have a shower in my tiny bathroom but, when I look at this girl, I'd love to have a bath tub to lay in with a good book!

Anything goes at Christmas Card Challenges!
What a wonderful way to start with your Christmas cardmaking!

This is my card:

I've used Snowbirds digi stamp from Broken Box Stock (it's still a freebie in the shop here!). I colored it with Copics and mounted it on a patterned card from DCWV.

Christmas Card Challenge # 31 - Anything Goes

It's the last Sunday of June (!!!!) and it's time for a new Anything Goes Challenge at Christmas Card Challenges!

This is my card:

Again, I chose unusual colors for a Christmas card, this time I went for lilacs.
I had this lovely Toodles Winter Pricess from Broken Box Stock already colored among my stamps and it was easy to find a matching paper (free from a magazine) and a card blank.

Toodles Winter Princess is still available as a freebie in the black and white version and there's also a colored version (available here in Broken Box Stock shop).
I used watercolor pencils and added small dots of liquid pearl (Ranger), a supply I bought a while ago and which I should use more often because it gives a special light to the card.

Summer's Here!

Well, it seems summer is finally here.

School is over and the weather seems to be finally settled.
Yesterday, it was my daughter's last day of elementary school: they were all very sad, tears and memories and a long afternoon spent with her, playing and trying to enjoy the start of the summer holidays and forgetting the sadness of the end of these wonderful 5 years.

The school is very close to our home and I'll surely be sad in September when, walking by, she won't be there in the park playing and laughing with her friends and running towards me to say hello!

Anyway, as I tell her, we have been blessed with great teachers, with 5 incredible years, with amazing friends that she won't miss even if they attend different secondary schools.

So today it's the official start of the summer holidays and, even if I still have my spring cleaning to be done, walls to paint, winter coats to put away and a great mess around, I want to celebrate summer with this card:

I used Honeymoon Toodles from Broken Box Stock (available here in black and white and here in a colored version) and colored them with Copics. I chose patterned papers in bright colors (sorry, they are old scraps and I don't remember the Company).

They are honeymooners but I think that the image is suitable for a beach vacation too!
How I'd like to be leaving for the seaside!

Christmas Card Challenge # 23 - No Embellishments

Happy Sunday!

Are you ready for a new Christmas Card Challenge?

This week we don't want to see any kind of embellishment on your card. Not easy for me who loves to add rhinestones and pearls on cards!

 I made this card:

I chose a lovely Christmas tree digi stamp from Broken Box Stock and I decided to duplicate gifts and add them around the tree.
A Christmas tree full of gifts is always a great thing to see, right?

Since I'm a bit late with my post this morning I've just had the chance to see the cards made by my teamies!

Christmas Card Challenge # 22 - Anything Goes!

Good morning and welcome to a new Christmas Card Challenge!
The theme is very easy: Anything Goes!

This is my card:

I've used Caroling Toodles digi stamp from Broken Box Stock (available here as a black and white digi stamp and here in a super-sweet colored version).
Papers are from Basic Grey (Eskimo Kisses): they are quite old 12"x 12" scrapbooking papers and I was happy to use them after so many years!

You know how I love carolers and this digi was a lovely addition to my collection!

As usual, have a look at all the other cards created by my teamies:

Oh Happy Day!

Just a quick post today as I need a break from a custom order, just to show you one of my latest cards:

She is Sparkler Toodle, another cutie from Broken Box Stock (available here as a black and white digi stamp and here in a Fourth-of-July-inspired colored version).

I thought it was perfect to celebrate a warm weather birthday and I chose pastel colors inspired by spring.
Today it's a sunny and warm day, spring is coming (even if we are still waiting for winter this year...), some exciting projects are waiting for me in the near future and it's Friday so I thought that this card was perfect to celebrate my mood today!

Back to My Beloved Toodles!

I've finally managed to find some time to create a card using one of Broken Box Stock lovely Toodles.
They've always been a favourite of mine since I discovered them and was honoured to be part of their Design Team.
It's always a pleasure for me to color them and create projects with their funny faces!

This time I've chosen one of the latest imges, Baker Toodle:
(She is available here as a black and white digi stamp and here in a very girly and pinky colored version).

I simply mounted her on a pink card decorated with painted dots, pearls and these faceted heart embellishments which give lots of sparkle (no, it's not clear from the photo).

Isn't she lovely?

Christmas Card Challenge # 10 - Tags

Happy Sunday!
And welcome to a new Christmas Card Challenge!

This week the theme is one of my fav: TAGS!
I love to create tags, especially for Christmas!

These are my tags:

The digi stamp is from Broken Box Stock and is called Hot Chocolate. Isn't it yummy?
I used my Copics to color the image and mounted it on a kraft tag with red stripes.

Have a look at my teamies' creations, you'll surely be inspired!

Christmas Card Challenge # 7: Use Polka Dots

Welcome to a new Christmas Card Challenge with a fabulous theme: use Polka Dots!
I love dots!

And for my card this week I used lots of them!

I used a stocking digi stamp I received from Broken Box Stock and printed it in different sizes. I colored them with my Copics and some glitter and glued them to a baker's twine.

Have a look at my teamies' blogs, their work is amazing this week!

Bling!

I know, I know... I'm quite a lazy blogger lately but, although I have tons of new Christmas cards ready this year, I still have lots of custom orders to prepare...

This week the theme at Christmas Card Challenges is Bling!

You know how I love to add glitter and bling to my cards so this is the perfect excuse to use lots of them!

I made this card:
This LOVELY couple was the new Winter Toodle Couple from Broken Box Stock (available here in black and white and here in a fab colored version with classic Christmas colors).
I decided I wanted to change the colors a bit and decided to use a lilac card and colored the girl accordingly.
Then, it was time for the glitter... lots of glitter! And bling... lots of rhinestones!
I made this card for Christmas but I decided to use a neutral sentiment so it can work for winter birthdays, too!

Having so little time to blog, I haven't had any sneak peek at my fellow DT cards so I can't wait to see their creations! They are all here!

Relax!

A very quick post today: I want to show you a card I've just finished and... it's not a Christmas card!

I love making cards for Christmas but I'm working on them since January and I'm starting to be a bit tired...

Thus, I decided to make something with a new stamp from Broken Box Stock and made this card:

She is Bubble Bath Toodle (available here as black & white digi stamp and here in a very sweet colored version).
I chose the digi stamp but colored it with the same sweet colors as in the colored version.
Papers are from the Floral Pavillion paper pad by First Edition.

Ohh... I wish I had a bath tub to be like her!

This card is for the following challenges:

Halloween Princess.

Maybe it's a bit late to make cards for Halloween but I've had an image for almost one year and I wanted to use it!

This is my card:
And this cute girl disguised as a princess is Trick or Treat Princess Toodle from Broken Box Stock (as most of their digis it is available here as a black & white digi stamp and here in a very romantic colored version).

I've used some papers scraps I've had for ages (I'm sorry, no brand was written in my scraps) and some tiny Halloween-themed decorations on a black card base.

This card is for the following challenges:

Autumn Colors.

I love fall!
I esepcially love the colors, the light, the warm temperatures, almost everything.
My mum doesn't like autumn because there's winter just around the corner... I love autumn despite winter is just around the corner!

I was very happy when, checking if I was a winner in last week's challenge, I noticed that this week theme at Tuesday Throwdown Challenge was "Colors of Fall".

I've had this digi stamp from Broken Box Stock ready to be colored for a while and this challenge has given me the right inspiration to create a card with it, this one:
It is called Cornucopia (available here as black and white digi stamp) and I've really loved coloring it with my Copics!
The paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg Collection.

Aren't Mice Cute?

Mice are one of those creatures that are awful if seen in real life but are terribly cute when illustrated.
I'm not one of those women who cries out loud at the sight of a mouse (not that I see lots of mice in my town) but they are related to dirt and diseases so I always stay far from them.
I remember when I was a little girl and spent my summer in my grandparents' house in the country that everythime a mouse was seen in the kitchen (very tiny mice actually), they threw open food away, washed the containers and everything in the kitchen.

I adore them when I see them illustrated and this week I chose a couple of very cute mice for my Christmas Card Challenge DT card.

The theme this week is a sketch, this one:
And I made this card:

I've used Mistletoe Mice digi stamp from Broken Box Stock (available here as a black and white freebie and here in a colored version) and my new papers from the Nordic Christmas pad from First Edition. I love this color combo of blue-greys and red!

Christmas Trees.

Although I love my Christmas Tree and trees in general, I find it difficult to use them as images for my cards. They are never my first choice when I think of a Christmas card, even if I adore the fact that, besides the green, I can add touches of colors and glitter in the balls or lights.

But this week I had to make something with a Christmas tree for my DT work at Christmas Card Challenges. The theme is EVERGREEN and this is my creation:

I love to make tags and this Christmas Tree from Broken Box Stock (it is available in a set of 4 Christmas themed images, here in black and white and here colored) was just perfect for what I had in mind.
It seems that I've had these tags forever: I think I bought them at Ikea many years ago and I've never managed to make something with them but they were perfect for the country look I had in mind.
I added stripes of paper from Rayher and some bling with a couple of rhinestones and glitter on the trees.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what my fellow DT members have created with evergreen!
If you are curious too, have a look at their blogs:

Well, although we are in full summer, September is really around the corner and Christmas will be here very soon... so let's create cards and projects!
