Welcome to my second blog post for this fortnight' challenge over at Not Just Cards.

 

This time I made two cards, one with an adorable graduated owl (you can read all about it here), the other with some cute guys:

 

 

They are We Make a Good Team! from All Dressed Up, colored with Copics and mounted on a simple striped paper.

Just a super-quick post today to show you a card I made this morning.

 

The inspiration came from the new challenge at Your Next Stamp.

My card for challenge 0# 3 (here) was chosen as the Top Pick! I'm really honored and I couldn't miss the new challenge!

This week the sketch is without circles:

 

 

And this is my version of the sketch:

 

 

She is Mini Sketing Fun Fhiona colored with Copics and positioned on two patterned papers by Toga France. The fence... well, I made it myself.

I changed the position of the sentiment, I hope this can be accepted in the challenge!

Christmas Card Challenge # 31 - Anything Goes

It's the last Sunday of June (!!!!) and it's time for a new Anything Goes Challenge at Christmas Card Challenges!

 

This is my card:

 

Again, I chose unusual colors for a Christmas card, this time I went for lilacs.

I had this lovely Toodles Winter Pricess from Broken Box Stock already colored among my stamps and it was easy to find a matching paper (free from a magazine) and a card blank.

 

Toodles Winter Princess is still available as a freebie in the black and white version and there's also a colored version (available here in Broken Box Stock shop).

I used watercolor pencils and added small dots of liquid pearl (Ranger), a supply I bought a while ago and which I should use more often because it gives a special light to the card.

I'm Not Happy...

The ends of summer brings the beginning of the new soccer season, a thing I'm definitely not happy about.

It means that most Sunday afternoon are spent at home because my husband has to watch his fav team. Of course, sometimes my daughter and I do something else but I have to plan our weekends carefully.

In addition, we live near the stadium so when our local team plays at home, I have to plan invitations and car trips.

Despite my dislike of soccer, I've just finished a card with soccer as a theme:

I've used a Crafter's Companion stamp from the Mulberry Wood collection and colored it with Copics. I wanted a fresh look for these cute bears and this striped paper printed from a Pink Petticoat set is just perfect! It reminds me of summer days gone by...

Just for Fun!

A few weeks ago, I noticed a basket full of little notebooks while shopping and I decided I had to buy two and make something creative with them.

I remembered I had sport-related digis and I chose two of the most popular sports:

Basket and soccer!

The images are from Bugaboo Stamps and the fact I had a boy and a girl made it perfect because I could add something girly to one of them!

Time for Another Hambo Challenge!

It seems that my posts are always for Hambo Challenges!

I've so much to do these weeks that I absolutely don't manage to prepare but a few cards.

Today, after I finished my first card as DT memeber at Paper Playtime, I finished the one for Hambo Hoedown Challenge # 16:

This Sumo digi was given to all participants in last week's challenge (but you can find it here).

The Challenge is to use this digi, one of the sentiments coming with the digi and some chipboard.

I glued a white paper with black dots on a black card and added some touches of red. The sumo wrestler is colored with pink and red watercolors. I also added a ribbon, brads and my chipboard accent is the star which I painted red to match.

This image makes me smile everytime I look at it!

This Was a Real Challenge...

Last week I discovered that Hambo Hoedown stamps was starting weekly challenges. I like their stamps and they have digis too which are surely the best choice for me living across the ocean and not too willing to pay for shipping and to wait for delivery.

They gave us a theme and a free digi to work with and it was a real challenge for me, the theme being FOOTBALL. Well, I know almost nothing about soccer which is our national sport game but I know absolutely NOTHING about football!

But I like challenges so I made this little card, with a little girl running for her own match in mind.

The paper is from DCWV and as usual the digi is watercolored.

My daughter dances and swims, she could never play football or something so masculine (she would be swept away) but I guess somewhere there are girls playing this kind of sports and, since I think that a girl is always a girl I had to glitter numbers...

My Very First ATC!

When I read Bugaboo's Challenge requirements for this week, I was pretty sure I wouldn't have entered. They asked for an ATC but what is it?

I read they must have a certain size and had a look around the web. I then decided to try and make one with a Bugaboo digi and some decorations.

I don't know if my ATC can be appealing for those who collect them but I really love it. I made it yesterday, asking advice to my daughter for the ribbon and the button. She asked if I made it for her daddy but no, he's not a golfer so I guess it's not very appropriate.

Well, that's how it turned out:

I used DCWV papers and a Rayher chipboard button which I decorated with a sheer satin ribbon.

I love it but mainly because I love the digi!

And of course I'm proud of myself because I've tried something different from what I'm used at.

Today, my daughter is still at home with fever and this meant we had a very silent morning for she slept for a couple of hours.

Taking advantage of this quiteness, I managed to watercolor several digis I want to enter into some Challenges: my first sport challenge, a monochromatic challenge, a sketch challenge and also a winter and a farm themed challenges. If I manage to assemble them into cards, I guess for a while I'll have a card a day to post on my blog!

I also stamped a couple of old foam stamps I bought maybe last year or even before and never managed to stamp properly, and an image I want to use for an Anniversary card for my husband (this time I stamped two so if I like it very much I have one for him and one to sell!!).

My daughter asks for some cuddles... better go!
