A Spooky Hedgehog!

Good morning!
I'm here today to show you my card for Gerda Steiner Designs October Challenge:

I received this sweet Cute and Cold Hedgehog digital stamp as a participant in their September challenge and I decided to transform the pumpkins and make a Halloween card.
Backround paper is from KlouiseDigiArt while the bat is from Lawn Fawn.

Isn't it lovely? Probably not spooky at all but oh! so cute!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

A Cute Little Fox!

A rainy day here in my town, a perfect weather to talk about fall!

I have a cute little fox card to show you today:

It's Cute Fox and I received it from Gerda Steiner Designs as I took part in her July Challenge.

I opted for a fall theme and chose a background paper from ModaScrap. I colored the fox with my Copics and added a few pearls in the corners.
The banner is from Paper Smooches while sentiments and leaves are from TSG stamps (oh! how I miss them!).
I wanted a simple card with the little fox as the focus and I like how it has turned out!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

My daughter also made a card with this fox, so stay tuned, I'll post it here soon!

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge # 332 - Autumn/Halloween/Thanksgiving/Bonfire Night.

Oops... I forgot to post my card for the new C.R.A.F.T. Challenge this morning, I'm sorry!

So... we have a great theme for you this week: Autumn or Halloween or Thanksgiving or Bonfire Night.

Although we see many Halloween decorations and our kids think it's something traditional here in Italy, none of these occasions is actually in our tradition so I opted for the autumn theme for my card:

This mouse is from Deedee's Digis: Thinking Spot.
It comes with several sentiments and I chose this one because this little mouse seems to be thinking to someone very special.

The theme is "For the Birds" and we've had the chance to work with this amazing stamp:

It's called Nature Owl and is available in 2 Cute Ink shop.

This is what I've created:

It has a sort of autumn feel, maybe the colors?
My teamies have made wonderful cards! Check them here and be inspired!

Happy Fall.

As I promised yesterday, here I am with a different version of the stamp I featured in my last post, Pumpkin Patch ohhhh from Eat Cake Graphics.

This time it's a fall version:

I really love the way these pumpkins look around them and what about the last one on the right, with two leaves as hands? They are so cute!

I love fall and I like to make cards for this season!

Spooky Halloween.

As I always write at this time of the year, Halloween is not a tradition of ours here in Italy.
When I was a kid, it was something that Charlie Brown was waiting for at night among the pumpkins.
My daughter and her friends live Halloween as it has always been in our tradition. It's normal to go trick or treating and to wait for friends to collect candies.
Things change quickly...

As a cardmaker, I have to deal with Halloween and sometimes I make cards.
It's something I don't really feel inside but it's funny to create cards and things with this theme.

Today, I have a spooky card to show you:

This card is made with some old scraps of papers and a lovely stamp from Eat Cake Graphics: it's called Pumpkin Patch Ohhhh...! and is available mounted and unmounted, like all the stamps from Eat Cake Graphics.
I loved the idea that the pumpkins were scared by the bats flying around!
I also made another version of the card with a fall theme, I'll blog about it soon!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

2 Cute Ink Challenge # 116 - Halloween.

October is just around the corner and October means Halloween!

And Halloween is the theme here at 2 Cute Ink Challenges for this fortnight.

This is my card:

This cute little owl is one of the new creations from 2 Cute Ink shop (by the way, have you seen how many cute new digi stamps have been added to the shop recently?).
I colored it with my Copics and used some papers from my stash.

Have a look at our challenge blog and start making your own card or project: we can't wait to see them!

A Cute Squirrel Card made by my Daughter.

I bought this lovely squirrel from 2 Cute Ink back in May for a custom project and my daughter fell in love with it.

When she heard about the Fall challenge at 2 Cute Ink she asked me if I could post a card for her to take part in the challenge.

Here's her card:

I let her choose one paper from my stash (I have no idea of the brand, it's very very old) and then she added a piece of washi tape and a lots of rhinestones.

I love it!

2 Cute Ink Challenge # 115 - Fall.

It's all about fall this fortnight here at 2 Cute Ink Challenges and I must confess I was really inspired by the colors of fall when I reached for the papers to be used in my card.

I chose Boy and Frog digi stamp from 2 Cute Ink shop for my card:

The yellow card base is decorated with two stripes cut from an old scrapbook paper from My Little Shoebox and some pretty buttons.
Isn't he the cutest boy around?

As I told you I was very inspired by the colors of fall so I made another project:

I bought some of these cute kraft bags in Austria back in August (I regret I hadn't bought more...) and covered the front with a paper from Reminisce.
I then added Sunflower Girl digi stamp which I bought a while ago from 2 Cute Ink shop.

Both kids are colored with Copics and glued with 3D dots so they pop up from the projects.

These kids are too cute! I should make a card with them together!

Let's have a look at 2 Cute Ink Challenge blog to see the creations from my fellow DT, they are wonderful as usual!

Autumn Colors.

I love fall!
I esepcially love the colors, the light, the warm temperatures, almost everything.
My mum doesn't like autumn because there's winter just around the corner... I love autumn despite winter is just around the corner!

I was very happy when, checking if I was a winner in last week's challenge, I noticed that this week theme at Tuesday Throwdown Challenge was "Colors of Fall".

I've had this digi stamp from Broken Box Stock ready to be colored for a while and this challenge has given me the right inspiration to create a card with it, this one:
It is called Cornucopia (available here as black and white digi stamp) and I've really loved coloring it with my Copics!
The paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg Collection.

Fall Colors

In these last years fall has become my favorite season.
I love the warm weather, the return to the routine, the light and the colors.
Strange enough because browns are not my colors! I never wear them and I rarely use them on my projects.

This week's challenge at Broken Box Stock is another real challenge for me: use a Fall Foliage Color Palette.
Here's my card:

I've used Reading Toodle Digi Stamp from Broken Box Stock and I colored her with Copics.
I've added an apple themed paper in wonderful fall colors (sorry, again no clue of the manufacturer), a paper border and two apples.

A modern teacher, isn't she?

Now, for the rules:

Planning for the Season

Although we are experiencing a very hot, dry summer, I'm already thinking about the holiday season.

A few weeks ago, I reached for the box where I keep my stamped and colored images and collected all the Christmas ones. I planned a card for most of them, finding the right papers and embellishments. In no time, I've been able to make a lot of new cards.

The other day, I decided to print a few stamps I had recently bought and one was used in this card:

I love fall colors and this lovely pumpkin from Meljen's Designs was perfect for a-not-too-scary Halloween card!

I planned to enter Meljen's Designs Challenge # 120 - Anything Goes

Wednesday again?

Two of my favorite challenges are on Wednesday and it seems to me that I'm always here writing posts about the new cards for those challenges...

Let's start with the first one:

This card is made following this sketch:

When I saw the sketch and had a look at the Challenge sponsor of the week I immediately decided that the tree was perfect for this sketch.
I have lots of digis but no, I couldn't change my mind: I had to have that tree and make a fall card with yellows, oranges and dark greens.

But let's start from the beginning.

The digi is from Clear Dollar Stamps and the papers I used are from DCWV (orange) and an old Sizzix stack (checks).
The tree was printed on white paper and that's probably the reason why I'm not completely satisfied with the finished card, it's not exactly the card I had in mind. I distressed the border and the papers with distress ink but the digi was already colored and I was afraid to ruin it completely and did not dare to touch it.
Everything is colored with watercolor pencils and some of the leaves are glued with 3D dots.

The challenges I'm entering this card are the following ones:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge # 97 where the sketch comes from
and
Raise the Bar Challenge # 62 where the theme is "Tree-mendous"

In these last years I've understood that I'm a fall person: it's my favorite season of the year. Of course, I do love spring and summer: I love hot weather, the long days, holidays, the summer fruit and everything but my soul is in fall that is at her best. I wish I could write a better English to explain my feelings in a clearer way!

I'll surely be back later for another post!
