Christmas Card Challenge # 7 - Color.

Welcome to a new Christmas Card Challenge!

It's a very sunny day here and I hope it means spring is coming soon!

But we have a Christmas Challenge to talk about and it's a very wintry one!

Colors!

While making the card colors seemed to me more light browns than greys, that's why I made this card:

I then looked at some of my teamies cards and noticed they used greys... so I'm sorry if it does not match (but I still see creams and light browns...).

Anyway, I chose these cute birds from Doodle Pantry and a background paper from First Edition.
They are so sweet!

Have a look here to see the (grey) cards of my teamies and last week's winner and Top 3.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

CraftyHazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra for September - Mid-Month Inspiration.

Mid-September means one thing in my town: schools start.

And this means the very end of summer laziness, of days to fill with new projects and adventures, of mornings starting at 10 (well, my days start much earlier but I keep quiet until my daughter is ready to wake up).

But it also means it's time to give you some more inspiration for our CraftyHazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra.

This is my card:

This time I chose Winter Birds - Scarf from our sponsor Bugaboo Stamps and some scraps from an old 6"x6" stack from Papermania.

Don't have enough inspiration? Have a look here on the challenge blog and check the wonderful cards from my teamies!

We have colors for you this week!

In detail:

This is my card:

I reached for my Pennyblack stamps and chose this sweet couple of friends.
While looking for a wood shape for another project, I found a set of mini tags and I decided to stamp the sentiment on one of them. I love how it turned out!
The image is colored with Copics and glitter.

As usual, have a look here on our challenge blog to see the amazing work of my teamies and to see if you're a winner from last week!

Welcome to a new Christmas Card Challenge!

This week we have colors to inspire you:

In detail:

And this is my card:

The image is from Handmade Harbour and is called We Wish You a Merry Christmas (of course!).
I printed it on a paper from Pink Petticoat and colored it with Copics.
Since I wanted a very simple look, I positioned it on an olive green card.

How Sweet!

Good afternoon!
Today I'd like to show you something a bit different from my usual cards: a little plaque with key hooks.

I bought this wood key hanger some time ago and I decided to decorate it with paper instead of painting it.

Paper is from Echo Park while the Mommy and Baby Bird digi stamp is from Drawn with Character, colored with Copics and just a touch of glitter in the flower. The banner is a stamp from Paper Smooches.

Aren't they sweet?

Christmas Cards Challenge # 41 - Anything Goes.

It's Anything Goes again here at Christmas Cards Challenge!

This is my card:

This sweet cat is My Gift! from Whiff of Joy. Colors are a bit unusual for a Christmas card (papers should be from DCWV or maybe First Edition) but I found that this black was not too bad.

Have a look at waht my teamies have done this week:

This time it's a special Christmas challenge because it's about Christmas animals!

This is my card:

The image is Winter Birds on a Limb from Bugaboo colored with Copics and glitter. I had this old stripe of paper in my stash which matched perfectly the colors of the birds.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge # 323 - Back to School.

It's Thursday and we're back with a new C.R.A.F.T. Challenge!

This week we have a recipe for you:

1 image, 2 shapes, 3 papers and 4 embellishments.

I made this card:

My image is  Percy the Pirate Parrot from Trimgym.
Then I added my 2 shapes (the heart and the star) and my 3 papers from DCWV.
And, last but not least since I rarely make a card without them, 4 rhinestones in the corners.
Isn't is a good recipe?

Now it's your turn to make a project, we can't wait to see what you create!
Have a look here to see more creations from the DT and to check last week's winners and Top 3.

Welcome to a new C.R.A.F.T. Challenge!

This week we have a color combo for you:

In detail:

And this is my card:

I decided to turn this Spring Chicken from Pickled Potpourri into a parrot.
I sincerely don't know if it can be similar to a parrot but I find it very elegant in green.
Papers are from Kaiserkraft and October Afternoon and the chicken now parrot is colored with Copics. The sentiment is from an old stamp from There She Goes.

We can't wait to see what you create with these colors!
Have a look here for more inspiration and to see if you're a winner from last week's challenge!

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge # 296 - Valentine/Love.

Welcome to the last C.R.A.F.T. Challenge of the month!

This week we want to see your Valentine or love-themed cards and projects!

This is mine:

I opted for a clean and simple card which could be suitable for a man and choose these adorable birds from StitchyBear Stamps.
The digi is called Second Day of Christmas because it has a Christmas message all around the birds. But, magic of the digital stamps, I cancelled the sentiment and voilĂ ... a perfect image for valentine's Day!

They are cute, aren't they?

Have a look here and be inspired by the fab creations of the team and don't forget to check the sponsors we have this week!

Winter Wishes.

Good morning and happy Saturday!
I'd love to start this cold and dark Saturday showing you a card I've just finished:

The mission was to create a card or project using one of 2 Cute Ink digital stamps: no theme, no deadline, nothing! A dream for every card-maker!
I LOVE 2 Cute Ink stamps so it's always a pleasure to create with them and, since my daughter loves them too, we often share ideas and, of course, she gives suggestions.

This card has still a Christmas flavour, maybe for the colors I chose, but I'd rather make a winter card, with this super-cute Winter Cardinal wrapped up in a gorgeous scarf!
Papers are from First Edition.

Heidi, the creator behind 2 Cute Ink gives away a freebie each month if you subscribe to the newsletter (you can fin it here) and hosts a challenge here on her challenge blog: don't miss the opportunity to play with us to win gorgeous digi stamps! This month the theme is "Goin' Buggy", funny, isn't it?
And, of course, there's a Facebook Group where you can share your creations!
I'm always happy to see what you create with these adorable images!

A Merry Christmas Tag.

* * This is my second post today, please scroll down to see my card for C.R.A.F.T. Challenges * *

Hello again!
This time for a little tag, this one:

I found these tags + envelopes last summer and I looked forward to creating something with them.

This stamp from Eat Cake Graphics was perfect to create a small scene.

It's Mary and Mr. Meow at the Window (there's also a window with a boy here) colored with Copics and mounted on a piece of adhesive fabric.
I used leftovers on the envelope, embellishing it with rhinestones, a paper heart and Tiny Tweet, a little bird wearing ear muffs.

Isn't it a lovely scene?!

Not Just Cards Challenge # 06

Great news this morning!

I'm one of the new DT members over at Not Just Cards Challenge blog!!!

When I discovered this challenge last month I was so happy because I love to use stamps for something different from cards and this challenge was perfect. Of course, I immediately entered the DT call and, when they accepted me, I was over the moon!!!!

So this is my very first project for this challenge:

As soon as I saw this snowman I fell in love with it! And what about the smiling robin?
It's Snow Friends by StampArt Design by Kathryne (available from Whimsy Stamps) mounted on a chipboard plaque covered with a paper from First Edition.

I'm looking forward to seeing my teamies' creations and of course to see what you create!
Remember: the theme is always Anything Goes!

We also have wonderful sponsors each fortnight so don't miss the chance to be a winner and join us!

Christmas Card Challenges # 40 - Anything Goes

The last Sunday of the month means our Anything Goes Challenge at Christmas Card Challenges!

Let your creative juices flow and make watever you want!

This is what I've made:

I had this printed card I found in a mag years ago and it was perfect for my image. I've added a few snowflakes and lots of rhinestones and then my image from Gerda Steiner.
I then added a matching ribbon and a button. I love this light blue + red theme! So fresh and festive!

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge # 270 - Wish You Were Here.

Happy Thursday!

This week at C.R.A.F.T. Challenges we ask you to make a card of project for someone far away.

The theme is "Wish You Were Here" and this is my card:

The digi stamp is One of a Kind from Sweet'n Sassy Stamps. I wanted to focus on the image so I printed a big image and kept embellishments to a minimum.
I had just discovered this adhesive lacy border in a shop and I was willing to use it. I think it's perfect for this card!
Then, just a few pearls and rhinestones and my card was ready!

We have great sponsors this week! Check them all here on our challenge page!
You'll also find some great cards to be inspired by!

Season's Tweetings.

Hello!
Today I'd like to show you a couple of cards I've just finished for Eat Cake Graphics:

I chose Season's Tweetings and made the cutest small cards ever!

I simply added a dotted paper matching my card base, a white lace ribbon and a red+gold or gold only ribbons to make these cards very festive!

It's been nice to be back to some traditional colors for my Christmas cards!

This stamp is so versatile, perfect for small messages on a tag or inside a card, too!
That bird is too cute!

Have a look here at Eat Cake Graphics shop or here on their blog where you'll surely find some inspiration!
