A Guest Designer Spot for Crafting by Designs.

I'm pretty excited this morning because I've been asked to join Crafting by Designs for this week's challenge.

The theme is Monochromatic and I made this card:

These coffee cups are from the Coffee Lovers digi stamps set from Drawn with Character.
I colored them with just a shade of neutrals and assembled the card with papers from Dovecraft.

I've a few projects with these cups on my desk, all waiting to be finished! Can't wait to have some time to complete them!

Christmas Cards Challenge # 49 - Anything Goes.

Welcome to a new Christmas Cards Challenge!

The theme this week is Anything Goes and this is my card:

This adorable dog is Odd Dog - Mug of Tea from  Lili of the Valley.
I had just bought this cutie and I wanted to use it immediately so I used red and green to make it more Christmassy. Background papers are from My Mind's Eye.

2015 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

I read about it a few weeks ago and finally it's time for the 2015 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

I entered the Summer Blog Hop (you can reat all about it here) and I wanted to make something for this edition too.

This is what I made:

I chose the adorable Coffee Time - Perfect Blend from Bugaboo Stamps, colored it with Copics and embellished with a ribbon and dots in matching colors.

I've already planned another card for the blog hop, hopefully I can finish it before the hop closes on Oct. 04!

There are already tons of cards, can't wait to start hopping!

Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop!

I've been creating some coffee-themed cards and projects recently and when I saw the Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop I couldn't keep myself from creating a coffee card with a summer feel for this challenge.

This is my card:

The image is the adorable Love You a Latte Gnome from 2 Cute Ink, colored with Copics and matched with papers from Avery Elle (above) and Miss Tiina (chevron).
The sentiment is from Bugaboo (Coffee Time - May Your Cup).

I've had a great fun to color it and put the card together! I LOVE these bright colors!
And this gnome has the same happy face I have every morning when I sit down and smell my coffee!

Well, time to hop and see all those beautiful coffee-themed cards!

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge # 256 - Not a Card.

Good morning and welcome to a new C.R.A.F.T. Challenge!
This week we don't want to see cards but every other project is welcome!

I decided to make a big tag, this one:
The digi stamp is Scarlette - Coffee o'Clock from Bugaboo which I mounted on a kraft tag covered with a music paper I had in my stash.
Bugaboo Stamps is one of the sponsors for this week's challenge: they have tons of cute images, for every occasion and need so let's start creating!

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

I Love Washi Tape!

It's been a while since washi tape is on the craft tables but here in Italy it's starting to arrive now.
Well, not in my area but, thanks to some UK mags and to Ikea, I've collected a few tapes.
I've recently visited a craft fair but washi tape was either extremely expensive or not so pretty so I couldn't add any new piece to my collection.

That's why it took a while for me to make a card for the challenge at Sparkle Creations: the theme is washi tape!
My tapes are in a very narrow range of colors: red & white or in pink tones so I have limits while making my cards. Sooner or later, I'll buy some new tapes from the internet...

Well, this is my card:

She is CafĂ© Lucy mounted on a turquoise card with a paper from Toga.
Instead of using stripes of washi tape, I made some little flags for my bunting: I love them!

This card is for the following challenges:

Pretty in Pink.

It seems I'm really in need of coffee these days as I've just finished another card with the same theme: coffee!

This card is for a challenge and we were given a recipe (1 color + 3 buttons) but not a theme and I chose COFFEE!

This is the card:
This lovely digi is called Perfect Blend and it's from the new collection Coffee Time at Bugaboo Stamps.
I chose a hot pink color to make this card which I colored with watercolor pencils and some paint for the dots.
The ribbon is again from my local haberdashery, they have a wonderful range of these ribbons!

This card is for Bugaboo Catch the Bug Challenge which wants a monochromatic card with 3 buttons.

Well, time to go out and... have coffee!

I Need Coffee Today...

Last night I didn't sleep well - or maybe I didn't sleep at all - and today I feel a bit tired and I long for coffee, a lot of coffee...
The weather is ugly, it rains and it is dark, it seems to be back in the worst winter days and this doesn't help my mood.
Moreover, I spent the morning cleaning the house.
You can understand how I feel today.

BUT
I had some time to make a card and color some digis! And this makes me smile and be happy!

A coffee -themed card was perfect today:

This card is made using another Hambo stamp - Coffee Girl - we were given as participants in last week challenge.
We also had a sketch to follow:

I colored the digi with watercolor pencils as usual and used some paper from an old Sizzix paper pad. I glued some parts with 3D dots for added dimension.
This card will be entered in Hambo Hoedown Challenge # 8 Can Anyone Say more please?

I can, I can...

Coffee Anyone?

I know, I know... It's been a week since my last post. I actually thought it was just a few days but this morning I realize that it's Thursday again.

It's been a busy week: I've got some orders for painted plaques so I've had to set aside my papers and digis and take out my acrylics and wood pieces. I'm happy to be back to painting and to have those nice chats with Customers who want customized pieces and ask for advice for gifts and color matches.

Unfortunately, I don't have cards to show, I haven't had time to take part in some of the wonderful challenges that I are there waiting for cards and my Etsy shop appears a bit neglected.

Christmas is fast approaching and family chores require more attention and dedication than in other moments of the year.

I have no new cards topost but I want to show a picture of a little hanger I've just painted for a lovely Customer. I had the coffeepot already painted on sale on ebay and she asked for a matching teapot and here's what I did:

I love them! I'm thinking to have them painted for my kitchen too!

I hope to be back sooner and with new cards and new challenge posts!
