Busy, Busy...

I'm pretty busy with custom orders and I really have little time to make something different than what I'm asked to create but yesterday I wanted to relax and make a new Christmas card.

Inspired by Moving Along with the Times Challenge I've created this card:

Last year I made a lovely card with Mistletoe Jasper from DigiStamp Boutique and I wanted to make a new one for this year.
The inspiration was to make something red and I've used this perfect paper from Papermania where I added lots of rhinestones to make it sparkle. Jasper is embellished with pearls and two buttons are added to the yellow ribbon.

Fall Colors

In these last years fall has become my favorite season.
I love the warm weather, the return to the routine, the light and the colors.
Strange enough because browns are not my colors! I never wear them and I rarely use them on my projects.

This week's challenge at Broken Box Stock is another real challenge for me: use a Fall Foliage Color Palette.
Here's my card:

I've used Reading Toodle Digi Stamp from Broken Box Stock and I colored her with Copics.
I've added an apple themed paper in wonderful fall colors (sorry, again no clue of the manufacturer), a paper border and two apples.

A modern teacher, isn't she?

Now, for the rules:

Challenge Directions:
Create a card using a color palette inspired by fall foliage.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

I'm busy with a very complicated custom order and I had to put aside my current projects to finish it: Christmas and Halloween images, colored and ready to be assembled into cards.

When I saw the new challenge at ABC Christmas Challenge I decided to finish at least one of them.
This one:

I had already colored this sweet Santa digi stamp from DigiStamp Boutique and I only needed to create the card. Colors were easy to choose: I wanted a classic red and green scheme and this paper (from Doodlebug) was perfect mounted on a green card (from DCWV).
A red satin ribbon, two little bells, rhinestones in matching colors and glitter on Santa's hat give the perfect touches to the card.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
ABC Christmas Challenge: S is for Santa is Coming to Town
DigiStamp Boutique September Challenge: anything goes with a DigiStamp Boutique image

Broken Box Challenge # 9

It's time for another exciting Challenge at Broken Box Stock: Make a Circular Shaped Card!

When I read my DT challenge schedule I started to be a bit afraid of this challenge for I don't have the possibility to cut big circles. But when I found some circular shaped cards on the internet I realized it could be something very easy to do.

This is my card:
I wanted to use the new Surprise Toodles digi stamp and make a very girly girl card. The girls are colored with Copics and glitter and I added rhinestones here and there on their flowers and earrings. I colored a white doily with pink paint, added flowers and again rhinestones everywhere. Finally, a pom pom trim I bought a while ago somewhere on Etsy.

There are the guidelines for this Challenge:

Directions:
Construct a card on a circular base (the interior design may have rectangles as long as the main outer shape of card is circular). Be creative!

NEW RULES ADJUSTMENT! - You NO longer have to use Broken Box Stock graphics within your design. Any cards entered will be considered! However, we do encourage you to take a look at our digi-stamps and graphics at www.brokenboxstock.com :)

TSGBC05 - Part 2

And this is my last card for There She Goes Birthday Celebration:

As I told you in my daughter's post, together with the birthday theme for day 5 we have to use at least 3 embellishments. I've used rhinestones only, in pink and light blue, matching the coloring I made to the emboossed parts of this card.
The girl image is from the Blossom by Blossom set and I colored them with my Copics. The sentiment is from the Wrapped in Joy set.

Well, that's all for this incredible five-day Challenge!
We have had a great fun creating our cards, I hope you like them too!

There She Goes Birthday Celebration Day 5 - Part 1

Here we go!
Day 5 of There She Goes Birthday Celebration! They'll remain in my heart forever for I've shared the creative process with my daughter.
She spurred me in these past days, she wanted to know my ideas and she was so happy when she could show me her finished cards.

This is her last card:
She loves this reading girl from the Believe in You stamp set and she has created this card around it. She is a trued reading girl so it's easy for her to receive books as presents.
The theme for Day 5 was birthday + at least 3 embellishments.
In her opinion 3 embellishments meant 3 different kinds of embellishments, that's why she used rhinestones, flower sequins and ribbon.

I'll be sad tomorrow... no cards to make and no post to write!

TSGBC04 - Part 2

Well... working with my daughter for the cards for There She Goes Birthday Celebration has been a demanding experience.
She talks and talks and talks and if she is not talking she asks me to think aloud... and laughs at what I say (or think).
I really enjoy my crafting time with her, it's great now that she is old enough to share the same passions and stamps and ideas but sometimes I appreciate some silence,,,

In a week or so she'll be back to school and my crafting time will be much quiter... and I'll miss her so much...

Here's my card for Day 4 of There She Goes Birthday Celebration:

A banner was requested together with the birthday theme and I glued this little banner made form paper scraps next to this lovely girl on a bench from the Blossom by Blossom set.
In order to decorate the white space of this round card, I stamped four pretty flowers from the Wrapped in Joy set. and added some light green rhinestones.

I really love it!

There She Goes Birthday Celebration Day 4 - Part 1

Ready for a new post for There She Goes Birthday Celebration Day 4, this time for my daughter's 4th card:

As I told you she is a bit ahead of me, so she was making her 4th card while I was still making my 3rd.
This is why I managed to copy the way she glued two clouds together: I was struggling with my clouds without finding the perfect position when I saw her card and... voilĂ , the solution!

The theme this time is to make a birthday card with a banner of any kind on it!
I LOVE her banner made of flowers stamped from the Blossom by Blossom set from There She Goes, but of course, I can't copy it for the same challenge!
The puppy and girl image is from the Puppy Love set, that girl is super cute!

My stamp for this new challenge is already colored... I have only to assemble the card and make the banner...

TSGBC03 - Part 2

Here I am again!
Wow... 2 posts per day... a record for me!

If you rember my previous post, the theme for Day 3 was given by a photo with a turquoise + red + white color scheme.
I've used a paper from DCWV and this lovely girl from There She Goes Blossom by Blossom stamp set.
It's such a lovely color scheme, it gives such a fresh look to cards!

Well, better go and prepare the card for Day 4: my daughter is already done and, I must confess, she had a couple of brillant ideas... I copied the two clouds glued together you see in this card, I loved the idea!
