C.R.A.F.T. Challenge # 248 - Inspired by a Film

This week challenge at C.R.A.F.T. is very funny: Be Inspired by a Film!

While choosing the image I would have liked to use for my card, I stumbled across an adorable digi from Sweet & Sassy and an idea came to my mind.

This is my card:
He is Super Dad and, of course, I was inspired by Superman. I printed the paper from a kit by Emily Ann Design Studio and added rhinestones, stars and sequins.
Everybody needs a Super-Dad, right?

Have a look at C.R.A.F.T. Challenge blog to be inspired by all the beautiful cards made by the DT and to see the fabulous prizes from this week's sponsors!

Opossums.

A couple of years ago I fell in love with a card featuring two lovely opossums hanging from a tree.
It was a bit difficult to find out the seller but I finally managed to have it in my hands!
As it often happens, I put it in one of my drawers and "forgot" about it... until yesterday when I saw the challenge over at High Hopes Stamps and decided it was time to use it!

This is my card:

This cute stamp is Possum Pals available in High Hopes Stamps shop. Papers are from the Woodland Folk paper pad (DoCrafts).
I actually never considered opossums before seeing this stamp!

Glitter.

My most affectionate readers know how much I love glitter and that it's pretty rare to see one of my cards or projects without at least a touch of glitter!
You can easily understand why I was happy when I saw the challenge theme at Sami Stamps Challenge: use glitter somewhere on your project!

I chose a digi stamp from one of their latest releases: it is called "On Your Arm" and is avavilable in Sami Stamps Shop.

This is my card:
I flipped the image because I wanted space for the sentiment on the right of the card (the magic of digi stamps!) and glittered the whole dress of the bride: she's so elegant!
The paper is an old one from Best Creations (yes, I'm trying to use my old 12"x12" papers... I'm lazy and I always reach for the more practical paper pads...). The three rhinestones were suggested by my daughter!

What a Cute Dog!

Today, I'd like to show you a card I've made "just for pleasure" and which was inspired by All Dressed Up Challenge # 9.

There is this sketch to follow:

And I've made this card:

This super-cute dog is a freebie from All Dressed Up and I enjoyed myself in coloring it with just a few Copics.
Then, I chose bright patterned papers with yellows and oranges to match the color I of the bow.

It's so cute!

Back to My Beloved Toodles!

I've finally managed to find some time to create a card using one of Broken Box Stock lovely Toodles.
They've always been a favourite of mine since I discovered them and was honoured to be part of their Design Team.
It's always a pleasure for me to color them and create projects with their funny faces!

This time I've chosen one of the latest imges, Baker Toodle:
(She is available here as a black and white digi stamp and here in a very girly and pinky colored version).

I simply mounted her on a pink card decorated with painted dots, pearls and these faceted heart embellishments which give lots of sparkle (no, it's not clear from the photo).

Isn't she lovely?

Paper Piecing.

Hello!
I've been inspired by Meljen's Designs Challenge for my today's card: they want to see Paper Piecing.

This is my card:

I chose Little Apple Worm available in Meljen's Designs shop.
I paper pieced my image using digital papers:

I first printed one complete apple and one warm on white paper, then I chose digi papers from Pink Petticoat and put them under the parts of the digi I wanted to paper piece.
Then I cut these parts and colored the worm which I then glued with 3D dots in order to give additional dimension.
Then, I assembled the card using old papers from Three Bugs in a Rug and My Mind's Eye.
Easy peasy, right?

Christmas Card Challenge # 12 - Trees.

Good morning!
It's Sunday again and this means a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges!
This week we want to see TREES! Perfect for every Christmas card!

I've decided to make tiny cards with tiny trees:
The image is from DigiStamp Boutique and it's one of the six lovely digis in the Simply for Christmas set.
I colored the trees with my Copic markers and mounted them on little colorful cards. A ribbon and a button and voilĂ ! They are so cute!

Please, have a look at all the fabulous cards from the DT... you'll surely be inspired!

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge # 246 - Christmas

It's Christmas again at C.R.A.F.T. Challenge!

This week I've had the chance to work with some lovely clear stamps from Flonz. I chose the Snow and Christmas set of stamps (you can find them here) which is a bit unusual for me.
I love these vintage-style stamps and the fact that some parts of the stamps have both outlined and full areas.

I've made two projects for this week's challenge.
I've made a card in a lovely vintage green, stamping the image with brown ink on ivory paper:

I'm happy with the unperfect coloring of the image, it adds to the vintage look I wanted to achieve. Papers are from the Christmas Village paper pad (First Edition).

Then, I've made some tags:

I had some silver tags in my stash and I decorated the border with a Martha Stewart punch. Then, I added a satin and a red sequins ribbon, some dots made with paint and the lovely Santa face from Flonz.

As usual, I suggest you take a look at the fabulous creations of my teamies, you can find them here.
