Snowman Fun!

Last week it snowed.
Quite early this year.
After a long, warm fall, we found ourselves freezing and wearing gloves.
I'll never get used to cold weather...

It seems that this year I fell the urge to use all my forgotten stamps to make at least one Christmas card before Christmas.

Inspired by our recent snowfall and by the theme of some challenges I've found, I've created this card:

I've chosen a funny digi stamp called Snowman's Laundry Line from The Stamping Boutique. I wanted the outfit to be the focus of the card so I've chosen papers in soft tones with discreet patterns.

I'd like to enter the following challenges (hoping that a snowman's outfit and some melted snow mean "snowman"...):
City Crafter Challenge # 139: Snowman Fun (and I think this image is really funny!)

How Cute is this Dog?

A while ago I treated myself with a new stamp from Lili of the Valley called Pup with Stocking but I didn't have time to make a card with it until today!

This time, I've used more traditional colors, reds and greens:

On a cream card, I've used DCWV papers, dark green satin ribbon and the stamped dog, colored with Copics and glitter.

Isn't it sweet?

Today, Pink & Green for Christmas

A quick post today to show you another card.
I'm making my last cards for this season but I'm pretty inspired so once I finish a card, I have another idea in my head.

Today, I've this card to show:

I've used Shopping Spree from Di's Digi Downloads, an image I really love!
Colored with Copics and glitter, decorated with tiny buttons and mounted on a "vintage" green card with a patterned paper by Dovecraft. A hot pink satin ribbon and a bell charm make it sooo pretty!!!

Singing Carols

I don't know why but one of my favorite images for Christmas is someone singing carols.
Even when I watch Christmas movies (my favorite pastime for Christmas), I love to see a group of people singing near a lamppost or in front of a house.

That's why when I saw this stamp, I had to buy it:

She is the lovely Wryn Goes Caroling digi stamp from Tiddly Inks and, inspired by this week's challenge theme at Tiddly Inks, I colored her in soft blues. Isn't she cute? I adore her!!

This card is for the following challenges:

Mint Green for Christmas

If I take a look at all the Christmas cards I've made this year, most of them have non-traditional colors. Mostly pinks... pink and red, I love it!

Yesterday, I tried to change a bit and use some green. Not a dark, deep green but a light, fresh one!

And I made this:

Last year I made more traditional cards with this Cozy Winter Owl from Meljen's Designs but this year I wanted to go with something fresh and bright.

Copics, glitter and rhinestones and the card is done!

I'm entering this card into Meljen's Designs Challenge # 139: Anything Goes

A Cat for Christmas

I've had this sweet digi stamp for a while, maybe one year or so and, inspired by The ABC Challenge theme this week, I've decided to ink it and make this card:

This lovely digi is Christmas Wishes from Tiddly Inks. I used Copics and glitter for the image and mounted it on a hot pink card with ptterned papers and ribbon.
It's good to be able to use supplies I've had for a while and create something cute!

I'm a bit in a hurry this morning so I have time only to enter a few challenges:

Pretty Christmas Trees

Oh! How posh is this girl while making her Christmas tree?

She is Princess Jennifer Latte Decorating the Tree from The Stamping Boutique and she's a favourite of mine! I made a few cards last year and I had to make one this year too!
She inspires me to work with pinks and non-traditional colors, glitters and everything pretty!!

I've recently won a few stamps from The Stamping Boutique over at the ABC Christmas Challenge and, of course, I treated myself with a new Jennifer Latte digi! I hope to have time to make it before Christmas!

This card is for the following Challenges:

Christmas Cuties

Last month I bought a lovely set of digi stamps over at DigiStamp Boutique and I've just finished to make a set of two cute little cards.

The first one, in bright colors:

The other in more deep, elegant colors:

The set is called Simply for Christmas and my idea was to make one card with each image. I'm busy with some commissions so I decided to show the first two before it's too late for Christmas!

I used little white cards, added a cardstock panel behind the images colored with Copics and glitter. A pretty ribbon and a button and voilĂ  a lovely card!

I have a tip for you: I had these lovely sets of small cards with envelopes but the cards had no folds and so I decided to make a folded card out of white paper and cut the original card in a panel, lightly smaller than the front of my white card. It matches the envelope and the card has a fold!

Baby's First Christmas

Being born at the end of December, my daughter's first Christmas found her almost 1 year old, ready to reach the tree and break something.

It was a very sad Christmas and I remember the two of us playing near the sofa with some new teddy bears and two dogs singing Christmas carols when we touched their hands. She had great fun and I had too, just looking at her happy face.

Some years have passed and Christmas days have always been happier than that very first one. Today in particular I'm waiting for her to come back from school and decorate the Christmas tree!
She was so excited this morning!

Last week I was lucky enough to win the first prize at ABC Christmas Challenge so I decided I had to make a card for the new Challenge.

The theme is X for X Marks the Spot  and I've made this card:

When it was time to add the ribbon, I chose a very narrow one so that, once tied, it seemed a "X".

The image is a very old one from Pink Petticoat which I colored with Copics and glitter. Papers are from The Winter Stack by DCWV.

This card is for the following challenges:
ABC Christmas Challenge: X for X Marks the Spot
Ladybug Crafts Challenge # 4: Christmas and/or Winter

Happy Holidays! At Broken Box Stock

A GREAT new challenge at Broken Box Stock: Happy Holidays!

We all need Christmas cards so why don't create one for this challenge?

As a DT member this month I created two cards, it was difficult to choose just one so I sent both!

This is the first one I made a while ago:

I used a new easel card I had just bought and added these sweet little shops all dressed up for Christmas which you can find here. It's a freebie so hurry up and create the sweetest Christmas card!
Mine is light blue and shops are colored with Copics and, of course, glitter!

After having made this card, I received a new Toodle and... bang! I had a crush!

She is Gifts Toodle and exists as digi and in a colored version. I love her! All those gifts and bags, the pretty dress, her tights and, of course, her earrings!
I printed a giant version of the Toodle (the beauty of the digi stamps... being able to make any size you want!) and colored her with Copics and glitter. I decided to use two non-Christmas papers from my favourite Doodlebug collection: Sweet Cakes: these colors are perfect for Christmas too!
This bright and cheerful card makes me happy in these gloomy and very non-Italian days: it's been raining heavy for a long while, my daughter's school is partially flooded and... well, somewhere else in Italy conditions are even worse. Let's pray for them all this will be a happy Christmas despite all the difficulties.
