Punches...

As you probably know, I love to make tags. For this reason, some years ago I bought a tag punch to make things easier.

I actually love to make tags in different sizes so I often find myself cutting them with scissors but the new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges was the perfect starting point to make my old punch into good use.

Last week I bought a new paper for my Copic markers and I wanted to try it.

Even if it's quite thick, it worked perfectly in my printer and I managed to create these lovely tags:

I may seem a little boring, since I used this image from DigiStamp Boutique only a few weeks ago for a card, but I love it so much that I wnated to make something else with it.

They are Cute Nativity Kids and I loved the fact that I could print, punch and color my tags without effort!

What a Fun!

This time I've had a great fun creating my card for Christmas Card Challenges!

The theme is Non-Traditional Christmas images and here's my creation:

Aren't they cute?
I've used a stamp from There She Goes and I must admit that the idea to hang the two moneys together came from a card I saw a while ago somewhere (I'm sorry but I didn't remember where or who!). I decided to hang them to a holly branch, a part of a set of an old set of stamps.

The papers is from an old pad from Papermania. I simply added some red details and, of course, a little bow on one of the monkey's tails!

I think I'll make a few more...

This challenge sounds really funny! Have a look at all the other creations from the DT and be inspired to think of something less traditional!

Christmas Trees.

Although I love my Christmas Tree and trees in general, I find it difficult to use them as images for my cards. They are never my first choice when I think of a Christmas card, even if I adore the fact that, besides the green, I can add touches of colors and glitter in the balls or lights.

But this week I had to make something with a Christmas tree for my DT work at Christmas Card Challenges. The theme is EVERGREEN and this is my creation:

I love to make tags and this Christmas Tree from Broken Box Stock (it is available in a set of 4 Christmas themed images, here in black and white and here colored) was just perfect for what I had in mind.

It seems that I've had these tags forever: I think I bought them at Ikea many years ago and I've never managed to make something with them but they were perfect for the country look I had in mind.

I added stripes of paper from Rayher and some bling with a couple of rhinestones and glitter on the trees.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what my fellow DT members have created with evergreen!

Well, although we are in full summer, September is really around the corner and Christmas will be here very soon... so let's create cards and projects!

It's Sketch Time at Christmas Card Challenges!

This week challenge at Christmas Card Challenges is to be inspired by this sketch:

I made this card:

Since for my card I wanted a color matching perfectly the background paper, I had to use a square card. The paper is from First Edition while the digi stamp is from DigiStamp Boutique. I colored it with Copics and mounted it on a red cardstock. I was inspired by the red dots on the paper for my red accents.

I cannot wait to see the creations of my fellow DT members, there are always such elegant cards!

Wishes...

Have you ever wished upon a star?

I have.

And sometimes my wish has come true... even when it was not a perfect wish and it would have been better not to wish...

Anyway, for this week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges we have to use background stamps and I wished I had more... well, I wished I had at least one.

In fact, it seems that among my tons of stamps there's not a background stamp so I had to create one.

I made this card:

The tiny star stamp is from a set by The Alley Way Stamps while the sweet mouse is from PennyBlack. I stamped the stars with white ink on a metallic card I found in my stash and simply added the mouse stamp colored with Copics.

A Funny Christmas Tree.

Inspired by this fortnight challenge at ABC Christmas Challenge where "O is for O' Christmas Tree" I've managed to make a card using a stamp I've had for ages.

I colored it a while ago so I just had to choose papers and embellishments. I actually didn't think it could be so easy to finish the card and I'm very pleased with the result.

Here's my card:

This funny Christmas tree girl is Christmas Tree Toodles from Broken Box Stock (available here as a digi stamp and here in a colored version).

I used my Copics and lots of glitter while the papers are from Carta Bella. Isn't she lovely?

Teachers.

This week I'm inspired by teachers for my cards... I have a few drafts on my table next to some Christmas cards and I'm quite excited to see how they'll turn out!

School finished at the beginning of June here and will start middle September but it seems that things are different around the world: somewhere have just finished, somewhere else are about to start again. That's why I decided I needed some more teachers cards for my shop.

This is the first one I've made:

Again, I've used a card from Lasting Impressions which was hidden in my stash (it seems that since I re-discovered my embossing templates and stuff, every image I color is perfect on a Lasting Impression card blank!).

The image is Teacher Toodle from Broken Box Stock which I colored with Copics (but there is a colored version available here if you prefer) and, of course, touches of glitter here and there.

Snowflakes in July!

Here I am ready with another card for Christmas Card Challenges!

Blogger still has problems but I've found out a way to write a post without losing it, it's enough I don't leave the page!

This week the theme is: SNOWFLAKES!

I love snowflakes in my Christmas cards and in general, it's a shape I adore. I still remember a lovely snowflake pendant with diamonds I saw in St. Moritz 14 years ago... it was so sparkly... I don't have a passion for jewellery and I couldn't afford it, but it was sooo beautiful....

Well, let's gor back to less expensive snowflakes... This is my card:

I found a set of tiny and small snowflakes stamps I bought last year at Muji during the sale and I started stamping them with silver ink on the front of the card.

The image is from PennyBlack, colored with Copics in traditional Christmas colors. It's one of my favourite ever!

Then I added two snowflakes punched from a glittered cardstock from DCVW.

No Embellishments??!

When I read the theme for this fortnight challenge at ABC Christmas Challenge I was pretty sure I wouldn't have entered.

No embellishments? How can I make a card without a little pearl, a shiny rhinestone or a lovely ribbon?

Then, while planning my future DT cards, I had a few ideas and this is the card:

I've used one of my treasured cards from Lasting Impressions with this lovely embossed border. Then, I've glued the image from Meljen's Designs colored with Copics in the middle of the card with a sweet sentiment.

Clean and simple, even without embellishments!

It's Time to Emboss for Christmas Card Challenges!

Well, fingers crossed that this time Blogger works.... It's the fourth time I write this post and every single time, while trying to edit it, everything disappeared and was lost...

The theme of my post was about embossing, a technique I fell in love with more than 10 years ago when I discovered Lasting Impressions templates.

I love their style and slowly started to collect booklets, papers and templates.
Once I started working with stamps, embossing was put aside and I'm so happy to have a reason to take them out again to find the perfect template for this week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges.

I chose this Christmas hat and I embossed it on Lasting Impressions papers embellished with a tiny button.
I put an embossed panel on the front of my card and a thin satin ribbon on one side.
