It's Time for an Inspirational Photo Challenge at Christmas Card Challenges!

This week I've had a great fun making my DT card for Christmas Card Challenges because the theme fitted one of my new stamps from Doodle Dragon Studios perfectly.
This image was probably the reason why I bought the Christmas in July 2013 set! Here's my card:

(I'm sorry but I don't manage to upload the inspiration photo from our Yahoo group, I've had so many issues since they renovated the site that everytime I need to work with it it's a nightmare!).

This snail is soooo cute with her home decorated for Christmas! She's definitely getting ready for Christmas!Patterned paper is from the Merry & Bright Collection from Cartabella, while the dotted paper is from Pink Petticoat.

Due to my problems with the Yahoo Group, I've had but a few sneak peaks of my teammates cards this week, so we all must have a look at their creations:

Hope you'll have the same fun I've had making this card! Can't wait to see your creations!

Halloween Princess.

Maybe it's a bit late to make cards for Halloween but I've had an image for almost one year and I wanted to use it!

This is my card:
And this cute girl disguised as a princess is Trick or Treat Princess Toodle from Broken Box Stock (as most of their digis it is available here as a black & white digi stamp and here in a very romantic colored version).

I've used some papers scraps I've had for ages (I'm sorry, no brand was written in my scraps) and some tiny Halloween-themed decorations on a black card base.

Autumn Colors.

I love fall!
I esepcially love the colors, the light, the warm temperatures, almost everything.
My mum doesn't like autumn because there's winter just around the corner... I love autumn despite winter is just around the corner!

I was very happy when, checking if I was a winner in last week's challenge, I noticed that this week theme at Tuesday Throwdown Challenge was "Colors of Fall".

I've had this digi stamp from Broken Box Stock ready to be colored for a while and this challenge has given me the right inspiration to create a card with it, this one:
It is called Cornucopia (available here as black and white digi stamp) and I've really loved coloring it with my Copics!
The paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg Collection.

Anything Goes! At Christmas Card Challenges.

When I'm feeling very creative, the "Anything Goes" theme in a challenge is always a joy!

I've had this image from Doodle Dragon Studios already colored for a while but I didn't manage to create a card with it.
A few days ago, I was diggind through my card samples and discovered this buried little kraft card and... it was THE right card for my little owl!

I had in mind a moon and a simple layout, without papers and embellishments and I finally managed to create it!

This card is for this week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges where the theme is "Anything Goes".

As usual, take a look at all the other cards from my fellow DT, they are always amazing!

Clean and Simple.

I've recently discovered a new digi stamp company with adorable little critters and, of course, I had to have at least one of them...

I also discovered their challenge blog and, inspired by this week's theme, I've just finished a very clean and simple card where, for the first time, I've used colored pencils without watercoloring them.

Let me show my card first:

This lovely mouse is Columbo from Paper Pretties and the theme of their Challenge is "No Designer Paper".
Probably because I chose a pale grey Canson cardstock which is a bit textured, the job proved more difficult than foreseen but I love the result! A clean and simple look!

Aren't Mice Cute?

Mice are one of those creatures that are awful if seen in real life but are terribly cute when illustrated.
I'm not one of those women who cries out loud at the sight of a mouse (not that I see lots of mice in my town) but they are related to dirt and diseases so I always stay far from them.
I remember when I was a little girl and spent my summer in my grandparents' house in the country that everythime a mouse was seen in the kitchen (very tiny mice actually), they threw open food away, washed the containers and everything in the kitchen.

I adore them when I see them illustrated and this week I chose a couple of very cute mice for my Christmas Card Challenge DT card.

The theme this week is a sketch, this one:
And I made this card:

I've used Mistletoe Mice digi stamp from Broken Box Stock (available here as a black and white freebie and here in a colored version) and my new papers from the Nordic Christmas pad from First Edition. I love this color combo of blue-greys and red!

Have a look at my fellow DT members' creations to get inspired!

Oops!

When I saw this image at Meljen's Designs I felt it was perfect for me:

No, not that I feel like a witch but I sometimes feel like this witch, a bit in trouble...
This stamp is called Witchy Brew and I've finally managed to make a card with it.
I found some lovely old Halloween papers in my stash (no clue about the brand, sorry) and I followed the orange + purple + yellow theme with my Copics, buttons, rhinestones and ribbon.

I'm Not Happy...

The ends of summer brings the beginning of the new soccer season, a thing I'm definitely not happy about.

It means that most Sunday afternoon are spent at home because my husband has to watch his fav team. Of course, sometimes my daughter and I do something else but I have to plan our weekends carefully.
In addition, we live near the stadium so when our local team plays at home, I have to plan invitations and car trips.

Despite my dislike of soccer, I've just finished a card with soccer as a theme:

I've used a Crafter's Companion stamp from the Mulberry Wood collection and colored it with Copics. I wanted a fresh look for these cute bears and this striped paper printed from a Pink Petticoat set is just perfect! It reminds me of summer days gone by...

I was inspired from lots of challenges this time:

Music! At Christmas Card Challenges

This week I've had great fun in creating my card for Christmas Card Challenges.
The theme is Music and, while looking through my stamps to find a proper image, I've come across Music Lucy from DigiStamp Boutique, a digi I bought a long ago and never used.

My challenge was to transform an everyday image into a Christmas one, a modern-looking girl into a girl suitable for a vintage-looking card.

I started with the papers: I've found the music paper in the Lost & Found Christmas paper pad from My Mind's Eye and matched it with another paper in the same collection.
Then I colored Lucy using the most "vintage" colors I had among my Copics and added a few details.

Here's my card:
I really love how it's turned out and, even if Lucy is still a modern-looking girl, she is at her ease in a vintage-looking card!

As usual, have a look at my teammates' cards, they always do a great job:
Sabrina

Well, Christmas is fast approaching but I should have made 30+ Christmas cards so far! Maybe I'll be able to make at least 50 by the end of November!

I'm entering this card into DigiStamp Boutique September Customer Competition.

Big Gifts!

When I saw this little baby with this huge present from Bugaboo Stamps I thought about my nephew, they have the same happy face. And, of course, I had to buy it.
3+ years later, I managed to make a card with it, with a boy in mind, a simple layout and bright colors.

Here's my card:
I've loved to use such a bright green card with yellow details which remind me of summer now that days are fresher and shorter, school is starting and lazy days are gone.
